A Message From Executive Director Andrea Wilson

Dear Friends, 

 

Today marks my first day as PATH Executive Director. As we continue to serve the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, PATH is the first place that many people are turning if they have never before needed any kind of financial assistance. Our Customer Service Representative Sara receives call every day from people who didn’t know who else to call for help. We have seen massive increases in people seeking assistance for the first time for rent, utilities and food. With both unemployment insurance and the eviction moratorium ending last month, more of our neighbors will need PATH’s help than ever before.

We will have more people than ever needing help from PATH, but my focus will remain on providing the highest level of safety for our neighbors in need, volunteers, and staff while fulfilling the PATH mission to help those who need assistance. No precaution is too rigorous if it allows us to safely continue meeting the needs of our vulnerable community members.
However long this pandemic lasts, I have unending faith that Team PATH will continue rising to the challenges that we have faced over the last five months with grace and love. Thank you for being a part of that.

Monday October 19 – Thursday October 22

Hours of Operation: 8 am – 4 pm

Food pantry assistance – Our Food Pantry will continue the modified drive-thru and walk-up model that minimizes the risk of COVID-19 and protects the health of our neighbors in need, volunteers and staff.

Other assistance programs – All assistance programs are currently available by telephone only. To schedule an appointment or find out more about our assistance programs, please call 903-597-PATH(7284).

How To Help

PATH has been serving record numbers of our community members throughout the pandemic. We’ve been listening to our volunteers, staff and neighbors in need to identify the most needed items in our community right now. To purchase items directly, visit our COVID-19 Response Amazon Wishlist and ship donations to 402 W. Front St. Tyler, TX 75701. To provide monetary support, visit our Emergency Relief Fund. We are honored to be entrusted with your donations and grateful for your support of the PATH mission.
