PATH Summer Fan Drive
East Texas summers are filled with many joyful things: fire pits and fireworks, camping, and cookouts.
However, the summer heat can be a hidden danger for our most vulnerable community members: low-income older adults, adults with chronic illness or disabilities, and families with young children.
The annual PATH Summer Fan Drive provides hundreds of families in need with a box fan each year. Donating can help families reduce energy costs while keeping the heat at bay.
Why is Summer Fan Drive so important?
- Heat is the #1 weather-related killer.
- For people who are older or health-compromised, heat can be deadly.
- Many of our high-risk neighbors in need are living without AC.
- Fans only cost 10 cents a day to run.

How can you help?
1. Stop by Home Depot in Tyler from June 1 – August 5 and purchase a $22 box fan. Tell your customer service associate at checkout that you are donating the fan to PATH and leave it with them – we’ll pick it up and make sure it gets to someone who needs a fan.
2. Buy a new fan at any local store and drop it at PATH during business hours (8 am – 6 pm, Monday through Thursday).
3. Click the donation link below and we’ll do the work for you.
Thanks to our community partners at Home Depot, it costs just $22 to provide a family with a fan.
